Maypole Precision was formed in 1973 and are a precision engineering company, with many years experience and highly skilled staff. Maypole supply aerospace and defence machine parts.

We are an AS EN 9100 Rev B machining & BS EN ISO 9001:2000 registered company. In addition Maypole offers NADCAP accredited non-destructive testing. The last audit was successfully completed in February of 2009.

Maypole Precision is centrally located in Birmingham. The factory is some 9,000 square feet and equipped with the latest machinery to help  provide a continuing competitive service, with the focus on expertise, quality and customer service.

Some of our latest machines include the Mazak Super Quickturn 250M Turning Centre with Live Heads and extended length capacity to machine components one metre long, putting us ahead of some of our competitors. Also the Cincinnati 750 Arrow 4 axis CNC machining centre with full fourth axis which enables our skilled staff to produce machined prismatic parts from all sides, without re-setting, enabling a more competitive price for our customers.

What can Maypole the Aerospace Engineers offer?

Aerospace precision engineers, Maypole supply both latest production aircraft machine parts and aftermarket spares for older aircraft. They are ideal for the "aliens and strangers" types of product range aerospace OEM manufacturers provide to their customers.

They are fully conversant with all materials, including the pitfalls of obsolescence.

In house NDT to reduce lead times is NADCAP approved NDT.

Maypole has around 20 staff at present. This is made up as follows;

Production is made up of around x 15 persons. All have interchangeable skills which can be adapted to whatever workload is in place.

Stores and inspection is made up x3 persons with a chief inspector with over 20 years experience to ensure all quality requirements are fulfilled.

Support and management staff is made up x5 persons to ensure all planning and sales requirements are fulfilled.

Aerospace CNC machining capability list

Maypole has capability to fulfil pretty much any work passed their way. This is as follows;

l. x2 Mazak 250m - 200mm dia - billets

2. x2 Cincinatti Milacron Arrow 750 - 4 axis

3. Dugard Eagle 1000 - 4 axis

This is a small selection of what our capabilities are. In addition to the above there is extra milling, grinding capabilities so the requirement for sub-con work is reduced. Also NDT can be completed in-house to reduce lead times even more. In addition assembly of kits can be completed when required.

We have also recently taken delivery of a new Mazak 250m machine to help provide ever increased capacity for the forthcoming year.
