Aerospace tubes
Fine Tubes tubing suppliers to the aerospace industry for many of today's leading programmes. We
have been supplying aerospace tubing for over 40 years and are proud of our reputation for quality and
reliability.
Together with our drive for innovation in the materials we process, this has maintained our position
as premier amongst aircraft industry tube suppliers.
Our tubing is used in a range of applications, including:
Torque control rods
Hydraulic & pneumatic control systems
Landing gear
Waveguides
Convoluting / seals
Ducting systems
Cryogenic heat exchanger tubes.
Quality
Fine Tubes is proud to have been awarded the NADCAP Approvals for NDT, heat treatment and
mechanical/laboratory testing of tubes. We are one of the few mills worldwide to have this certification in
place.
In addition we are approved to AS9100, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001.
We have also achieved many customer approvals, including Airbus & Rolls-Royce.
Fine Tubes is primarily a tube mill, producing to order. However, we can also work within long term
agreements to support your tubing needs with strategic stocks, cutting to length or kitting.

Lean Manufacturing
Fine Tubes have embraced the principals of lean manufacturing through a programme originating from
the S.M.M.T. and fully implemented by Messier Dowty Ltd (Groupe Safran).
Following on from previous initiatives such as 5-S and TPM our Lean Manufacturing Support Team is
challenged with realising cost down objectives using tools such as value stream mapping &
SMED.
Adding value extends not only to our product engineering but to point-of-use readiness through
kitting and J.I.T. type distribution.
Size range is based upon manufacture of:
• Seamless cold drawn tubing
• Welded & drawn tubing
Size range: 0.3 mm (0.012") to 40 mm (1.5").
Profiles: round or sections.
Supply form: straight lengths which are precision cut (ECM,
Laser, Radial saw) or long coil.
Tolerances: to OD +/- 0.005 mm (0.0002") are achievable.
