
Based at our own private airfield in Bedfordshire, just 10 nautical miles North of Luton, we have full EASA Part 145 maintenance approval for all piston engine aircraft types and regularly maintain various singles and twins; including Cessna 310 maintenance, Cessna 340 maintenance , Partenavia maintenance, Beechcraft Baron maintenance and Piper Seneca maintenance, ie a2 aircraft maintenance for aircraft under 5700 kg.

With all of the above EASA approved services we are able to offer a complete one-stop shop for all your aircraft maintenance requirements, including the supply of factory Overhauled, Rebuilt and New engines.
Brinkley Aircraft Services was opened in 1984 by the current Managing Director, Andrew Brinkley. Andrew has built up a wealth of experience in the general aviation industry and holds both CAA/EASA and FAA IA Licences. In 2003 Darren Carter became Engineering Director, Darren also holds both CAA/EASA licences and FAA A&P certificate. Whilst Darren has taken on the responsibilities for day-to-day operation of the company, Andrew now enjoys a more active role in the maintenance and certification of the aircraft.
From a small purpose built facility the business has expanded with the introduction of Magneto, Starter and Alternator repairs in 1996, followed shortly by Propeller Overhauls and more recently Non-Destructive Testing.
Propeller Overhaul
Our Propeller Overhaul facility currently carries out overhaul and repairs to more than 400 propellers a year.
All certifying propeller workshop staff are Manufacturer factory trained and receive biennial renewal training to ensure they are kept up to date with the latest designs and overhaul methods.
We have the capability to overhaul, repair or simply re-pitch the following propeller types:
• McCauley propeller overhaul – Fixed Pitch, Constant Speed and Turbo Propellers
• Hartzell propeller overhaul – Constant Speed, Steel Hub and Turbo Propellers
• Sensenich propeller overhaul - Fixed Pitch
• MT Propeller
• Fairy Reed propeller overhaul
All of the work required is carried out in-house with; Shot Peening, Cold Compression Rolling and NDT all completed in our EASA/CAA approved workshops, ensuring competitive prices and turnaround times.
Our EASA145/CAA approved aircraft maintenance workshop is capable of all inspection requirements from 50-hour checks to Star Annuals and CofA renewals. With 5 Licensed Engineers, qualified on; Wood and Fabric, Composite, Pressurized and Un-Pressurized
piston engine aircraft along with a small number of
mechanics giving us one of the highest level of
knowledge and training found in General Aviation.
With this level of experience we are able to
undertake major repair and rebuild work along
with complex sheet metal repairs.
Components:
With EASA C5 component repair and C6 approval for component repair this allows us to undertake various mechanical and electrical component inspections, repairs and overhauls.
All our inspections and repairs are carried out in house with overhaul and component exchanges being routed through an American workshop that we work closely with throughout the year, all components are released with an EASA Form 1 or 8130 as required.
The magneto 500 hour inspection is one of our speciality services with exceptional standards of quality and turnaround guaranteed, we carryout this mandatory inspection for many companies from around the United Kingdom and Europe.
