states, all maintenance personnel need to be aware that aeroplane Electrical Wiring and Interconnections Systems
(EWIS) should be maintained with the same level of intensity as any other system in the aircraft. The objective
of this EWIS training programme is to ensure that proper procedures, methods, techniques and practices are used
when performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, alteration and cleaning of
EWIS

The following are all online internet based courses including photos, diagrams, quiz questions
and a final multi-choice exam (except for FTS phase one has no exam). Each course complies with EASA part
145.A.30 acceptable means of compliance and guidance material. The courses are quality approved by our UK CAA
part 145.01263.
ONLINE HUMAN FACTORS IN AVIATION (INITIAL)
ONLINE HUMAN FACTORS IN AVIATION
(CONTINUATION)
These courses are for users within an
aircraft maintenance organisation. The continuation course is for those who have already taken the initial Human
Factors in Aviation training program and require ‘refresher’ training in Human Factors. These courses have been developed according to CAA and EASA standards as per
AMC 145.A.30, and include an end of course examination. Users are required to update their Aviation Human
Factors training every 24 months.
ONLINE FUEL TANK SAFETY TRAINING PHASE 1
This course is for those within an aircraft
maintenance organisation representing the maintenance management structure, the quality manager and staff
required to quality monitor the organisation (as stated in EASA Decisions 2009/006/R & 2009/007/R). There is
no end of course examination. Users are required to update their Fuel Tank Safety Training – Phase 1 every 24
months.
ONLINE FUEL TANK SAFETY TRAINING PHASE 1
& 2
This course is for those personnel within an
aircraft maintenance organisation required to plan, perform, supervise, inspect and certify the maintenance of
aircraft and fuel system components (as stated in EASA Decisions 2009/006/R & 2009/007/R) and includes
an end of course examination. Users are required to update their Fuel Tank Safety Training – Phase 1 & 2
every 24 months
ONLINE AVIATION HUMAN FACTORS INITIAL WITH
FUEL TANK SAFETY TRAINING PHASE 1 & 2
This cost effective, combination course
package includes Aviation Human Factors Initial & Fuel Tank Safety Training 1 & 2 courses and is
suitable for those personnel who have had no previous training in Aviation Human Factors and are also within an
aircraft maintenance organisation required to plan, perform, supervise, inspect and certify the maintenance of
aircraft and fuel system components.
Each course complies with AMC 145.A.30 (Human
Factors) and EASA Decisions 2009/006/R & 2009/007/R (Fuel Tank Safety 1 & 2). Users are required to
update their Aviation Human Factors and Fuel Tank Safety Training – Phase 1 & 2 every 24
months.
EWIS
TRAINING
The EWIS
programme was developed for eight different target groups and may be used for the minimum requirements for
initial and recurrent training. Depending on the duties, some may fall into more than one target group and,
therefore, must fulfil all objectives of the associated target groups.
ONLINE AVIATION GROUP 3 EWIS
INITIAL
ONLINE AVIATION GROUP 3 EWIS
CONTINUATION
These courses are for qualified staff
performing electrical / avionic engineering on in-service aeroplane i.e. personnel who are authorised to design
EWIS installations and / or make modifications and repairs to (e.g. electric / avionic engineers).
The initial course is for those who have had
no previous training in EWIS for target group 3. The continuation
course is for those in target group 3 who have already taken the initial EWIS training program and require
‘refresher’ training.
Once initial training has been completed, user are required to update their
training with a Group 3 EWIS - Continuation training course every 24 months
ONLINE AVIATION GROUP 4 EWIS INITIAL
ONLINE AVIATION GROUP 4 EWIS CONTINUATION
These courses are for qualified staff
performing general maintenance / inspections not involving wire maintenance (LRU change is not considered wire
maintenance) i.e. personnel who perform maintenance on aeroplane that may require removal / reconnection of
electrical connective devices (e.g. inspectors / technicians cat A or B1).
The initial course is for those who have had
no previous training in EWIS for target group 4. The continuation course is for those in target group 4 who have
already taken the initial EWIS training program and require ‘refresher’ training.
Once initial training has been completed, user are required to update their
training with a Group 4 EWIS - Continuation training course every 24 months
ONLINE AVIATION GROUP 5 EWIS INITIAL
ONLINE AVIATION GROUP 5 EWIS
CONTINUATION
These courses are for qualified staff
performing other engineering or planning work on in-service aeroplane i.e. personnel who are authorised to
design mechanical / structure systems installations, modifications and repairs, or personnel who are authorised
to plan maintenance tasks.
The initial course is for those who have had
no previous training in EWIS for target group 5. The continuation course is for those in target group 5 who have
already taken the initial EWIS training program and require ‘refresher’ training.
Once initial training has been completed, user are required to update their
training with a Group 5 EWIS - Continuation training course every 24 months
ONLINE AVIATION GROUP 6 7 &
8 EWIS INITIAL
ONLINE AVIATION GROUP 6 7 &
8 EWIS CONTINUATION
These courses are for service staff with
duties in proximity to EWIS i.e. personnel whose duties would bring them into contact / view of aeroplane wiring
systems. This would include, but not be limited to: aeroplane cleaners, cargo loaders, fuelers, lavatory
servicing personnel, de-icing personnel, push back personnel, flight deck crew (e.g. pilots and flight
engineers) and cabin crew.
The initial course is for those who have had
no previous training in EWIS for target groups 6, 7, and 8. The continuation course is for those in target group
6,7 & 8 who have already taken the initial EWIS training
program and require ‘refresher’ training
Once initial training has been completed,
user are required to update their training with a Group 6, 7, and 8 EWIS - Continuation training course every 24
months.
