Dyers International started life as a dry cleaning company over 30 years ago, and their core expertise has
always been the care and refurbishment of fabrics. Dyers have now attained their EASA part 21 subpart G approval
enabling them to continue to offer a complete range of services supplying and maintaining aircraft interior soft
furnishings. EASA approval is the result of determined effort to provide the highest quality product and service.
It is after all now a legal obligation for airlines to obtain Form 1 certification from their suppliers. EASA part
21 approval gave focus and insight to staff and management alike.
Dyers started airline dry cleaning contracts in 1984 and rapidly expanded from seat cover cleaning to seat cover
repair and supply of new seat covers and airline carpets at airports throughout the UK. Dyers expanded
manufacturing and customer support capabilities to provide the complete aircraft interior soft furnishings package.
Dyers has the ability, and approvals, to design seat covers, supply the foam they sit on, fit the covers in the
aircraft, remove, clean, refurbish or replace. Covers are always available in prime condition for immediate
despatch.
Dyers services now encompass seat covers, airline carpets, aircraft curtains and other soft furnishings. Dyers
International sources material, designs, cuts, sews, fits, cleans and holds inventory. As a fully aircraft approved
organisation, with years of aftercare experience, Dyers International can offer input and support from the initial
stages of any customer furnishings project.
Airline dry cleaning includes all seat covers, crew covers, curtains, headrest covers, uniforms, overalls, and
flight suits. Flame-proofing of interior soft furnishings is issued with a CAA approved test certificate.
Design And Manufacture of seat covers is in leather, laminated, luxbond, or fabric also extends to manufacturing
of curtains, headrest covers, gash bags, and overalls. The company specialises in the design and manufacture of
leather seat covers for zonal and full aircraft seat cover changes, dress seat covers and undressing of seat
covers. Its what is termed a “full seat cover management programme”.
Holding inventory involves seat cover and textile storage programmes with a weekly and monthly stock report.
Full aircraft carpet fitting/binding capabilities also include storage programmes.

their broader more diverse business package.

curtains and anti-macassers maintained to the high expectations of a sophisticated industry and demanding
travelling public.

role of Dyers International is to help in the front line of passengers' first impressions. After all, aircraft seat
covers have the closest possible physical and intimate contact with airline passengers!

A large element of Dyers International business plan is dedicated to the design and production of airline seat
covers in both fabric and leather. Being fully EASA part 21 approved, Dyers International can provide a full
service from initial evaluation visits to the aircraft, through design and manufacture, to providing a Form 1
release with the finished seat covers.

throughout their useable life.

Seat cover repairs and renovation
Seat covers are prone to both accidental and deliberate damage during their life. Often these items can be
repaired rather than replaced.
This service ranges from repair to switching and replacement of cover sections, to maintain the safety and
integrity of the seat, through to re-dye and surface treatment of leather products, thus extending the useable life
and optimum appearance of covers.
People form an opinion of an airline within the first few minutes of a journey, based almost exclusively on
appearance.
