We had to develop production techniques to match, ensuring that the practicalities of supplying composite
components on the correct scale met fluctuating demands.
That development is ongoing and has enabled us to push back the boundaries of aviation composites
manufacturing.

From an annual £5 million turnover, epm: technology invested £400,000 in 2010 in new composites component
equipment. Already, we have cut 30 hours from our tooling process by micro-managing each job to the nearest
hour in a bid to drive up productivity.

Located in Draycott, Derbyshire, in the East Midlands, we are well placed to service one of the world’s largest
aerospace engineering clusters. The region accounts for around 15 per cent of the UK aerospace industry by
value and employment, with an annual R&D spend of up to £300m and 25,000 workers.
Combining technical advanced materials expertise alongside state-of-the-art composites production facilities,
epm already contributes to the winning formula enjoyed by four Formula 1 teams as well as working closely with
World touring cars and British touring car teams. epm also works with a wide range of vehicle manufactures,
including Aston Martin, Bentley and other niche vehicle manufactures.
