ctm design director, Robin Dunlop, explains: “Our recently completed interiors, both commercial and VIP, have succeeded in taking aircraft design to a new level, while making the final creation acceptable from an engineering perspective. From pushing new materials to refreshing mechanical or structural designs, we work closely with engineers and completion centres to challenge design guidelines, and provide realistic solutions so that our innovative interior designs are achieved.”

Recent aircraft designs completed by ctm design include:

Airbus A318 for a member of the Saudi royal family; a classic, luxury and elegant interior design comprising private suite with bathroom, entrance, galley and lounge areas. Working closely with the completion centre on this, their first ‘triple A’ VIP quality interior.

· Three separate Dornier 328 ACJs. One is for an ex-Formula 1 driver; jet conversion to raise build quality as well as design finish. This was the first VIP interior for this completion centre, now on their third interior. This will be a sophisticated interior design meeting the tech savvy client’s high tech entertainment needs with lightweight HD and digital infrastructure, securing highest quality picture and sound in a luxury environment

· Fokker 70 for European head of state; interior refurbishment and in-flight entertainment IFE . Working with government officials and the Head of State’s aides, ctm design have brought this interior into the modern era with a considered, and pragmatic vision and technical expertise.

Each of these interior designs, whilst completed tailored to the client’s specification and meeting their desires for the ultimate in luxury interior design, has also achieved excellence in manufacture.
