CFS Aeroproducts Ltd at Coventry Airport have announced that they are expanding there capabilities at the Alvis Works site.

Due to an increased turnover of Lycoming and Continental engine overhauls, CFS is set to expand the capacity of its engine shop to cater for the additional workload. Traditionally CFS’s expertise was with large radial and piston engines, such as the Pratt & Whitney 1830, 2000 and 2800 and Gypsy Major / Queen series of engines. CFS will continue to provide a service to the Classic aircraft market.

The Propeller shop at CFS is encountering an increased demand for MT Propeller repair and overhaul. It was anticipated that once operators and maintenance organisations became aware that CFS is the only approved MT service centre in the UK that there would there would be a rise in demand. This increase in demand has not diminished the quality of service that CFS continues to provide with McCauley, Hartzell, Sensenich and Fairy Reed Propellers.

Aircraft component repair

As part of the strategic expansion, CFS is complimenting it’s existing capabilities with the addition of other related components and it is anticipated that over the coming months CFS will add aircraft heaters, CSU’s and an expanded starter generator capability. This will initiate a structured development plan for providing comprehensive support to the GA operators, maintenance organisations and regional operators.
