C-MROS- Aircraft Component Repair Workshops 44 789 173 6489

C-MROS Group is a unique group of aviation component repair workshops based in the south east of England offering a high quality of service whilst retaining a flexible and cost effective approach to their customers. Our workshops offer a very comprehensive capability and can, on request, quickly build new capability for repeat custom particularly in the fields of composite component repair, sheet metal work / aircraft structures, interior component repair and aerospace machining. Our core capabilities spread across the Airbus A318 / A319 / A320 / A321, Boeing B737 / B747 / B757 / B767 / B777, ATR 42 / 72 and BAe146 however we also have capability across H125, Citation, Dornier, Embraer, and Bombardier Aircraft. We continually strive to reduce overheads and thereby offer these savings onto the customers by way of reduced component repair costs, a ‘one stop shop’ with independent repair shop prices.

Our component repair workshops include :

Instrument shop, radio / radar shop, gyro shop, electrical shop, electrical harness shop, galley equipment shop, generator shop, oxygen shop, safety shop, fire extinguisher shop, restraint systems / harness shop, fuel and filters shop, hydraulics shop, pneumatics shop, pressurisation shop, environmental systems shop, power plant repair bay, auxiliary power unit (APU) shop and test cell, sheet metal / structures shop, composite repairs shop (incorporating radome shop), window refurbishment shop, wheel and break bay, flying control / landing gear component shop, seat repairs bay, aircraft interiors shop, NDT shop and calibration shop.

Capability by Co-Operation

We are aggressively expanding capability and looking at new opportunities to work in partnership with customers and further reduce costs. An airline looking to locate a new vendor for capability due to cost, location or turn time will receive favourable rates for their assistance in helping us obtain necessary technical documentation and support in order to gain said capability for the life of their repairs on the applicable components. By creating these ‘partnerships’ we create a win:win situation for the customer and ourselves.

Additional Services and Added Value

As a progressive and flexible organisation, we are continually looking at ways to provide better, more comprehensive and efficient options for our custom. We are currently in discussion with several airlines in relation to taking over some of the indirect administration functions that deflect them from the more essential tasks of running their airline. One such project relates to C-MROS Group assuming the airlines’ 24 hour stores responsibilities and functions, including; associated utility bills, stores personnel (inc. GRI’s), materials, picking, packing, data inputting, shipping, receiving, storage, out of hours purchasing, etc. Moving forward we can then offer free of charge shipment of repairs and purchases to any of our workshop facilities, and taking this to it’s logical conclusion we can offer complete supply chain management solutions offering a cradle to grave service on all consumable and rotable component requirements.

Component Management

C-MROS are in a very favourable position to offer complete component management contracts to meet your needs. We can offer flying hour agreements / power by hour agreements across aircraft or specific area’s of the aircraft; and depending on aircraft type we can even offer such agreements on flying surfaces (including on-wing repairs). However if it is not a flying hour agreement you are looking for there are a number of alternate options we can offer from fixed price repairs to ad-hoc component management.

We are always looking at innovative ways of providing new cost effective options to our customers and we are currently looking at a system whereby we can smooth the curve of maintenance costs in a long term material agreement. Many airlines find the Flying Hour agreements route attractive as it straightens this curve, and they receive the same monthly / quarterly invoice from their service provider, however this comes at a cost, as no provider is prepared to do this for free. Administration charges, depreciation charges, inflation, profit, risk offset and other costs are all taken into consideration in any such agreement. We are looking to work with airlines to come up with an agreed monthly maintenance budget, reducing costs over the winter maintenance season and offsetting them against costs in the less taxing summer season, straightening the curve without the cost and allowing the airline to retain their spares assets.

Component Sharing and Additional Revenue Streams

Assuming the position of an airline’s stores allows C-MROS to see usage / movement of the parts they are caring for, and we will be able to highlight to the airline slow moving components or redundant stock which maybe overlooked in an airlines day to day running. We would look to the airline and, with their permission, would exercise this stock in the form of loans and exchanges to maximise it’s market potential and creating additional revenue streams for the airline that they previously may not have tapped into. The long term aim is to hold the stores and maintain the stock of several airlines. It would then be possible to organise a co-operative spares sharing agreement offering low cost exchanges and loans between parties’ stocks, reducing costs whilst still earning revenue …again a situation where everybody wins!

AOG Support

C-MROS Group offers AOG support in all but one of their workshop facilities (Flying Control / Landing Gear Shop), with 24/7 coverage by means of AOG numbers. This allows evening and weekend call-out in AOG situations reducing aircraft downtime. In addition our composite shop can support any number of on-wing composite and metal bonding processes to flying surfaces and engine cowls and shrouds*.

Engineering Support

In addition to our workshop based activities we have the ability to support aircraft checks with engineering teams, and can supply engineering support teams for specific engineering tasks. These include (but are not limited to) blended winglet installation / modification, bulkhead terminations, lap joint modifications, pylon modifications and other aircraft structural repairs.

Spares Sales and Distribution

Our workshops hold a level of stock for spares exchange purposes to back up their repair capabilities. For Example our composite shop currently holds B737, B757, B767, A319 / A320 / A321, BAe146 and ATR radomes in serviceable condition on site and are actively purchasing other flying surfaces within their capability. In addition we have a distributor (Glendale International) within our consortium who hold on the shelf all L3 recording products (CVR’s and FDR’s), supporting parts and test equipment, ASI Test Equipment, DowKey Aviation RF / TCAS RF Switches, Rosen Sunvisor Products and much more. As a group we have excellent experience in locating hard to find rotables and aircraft consumable items and can assist with any aircraft spares requirement you may have.
