The Aerospace Sensors Division of Auxitrol wide range of temperature sensors, pressure sensors and flow sensors
for harsh and demanding environments is amongst the most advanced you will find anywhere in the world. The
investment in research and development has ensured that Auxitrol is a world leader in designing innovative
solutions for sensors, with the Esterline sensors Group.
The products are designed to meet the rigours and stress of the aerospace industry and are used in the world's
leading aircraft and aero engines where unique solutions are required.
Auxitrol research and development departments, as well as testing capability, ensure that we participate in the
future of air transportation, when efficiencies and environmental friendliness are even stronger determinants. We
have set up extensive research and development means including various simulation tools and specialized test
equipment such as an icing wind tunnel.
AUXITROL is also taking part in different pan-European and American research programs and is co-operating with
external research organizations to complement its extensive in-house resources. Several product and technology
developments in the areas of sensing, monitoring and controls are currently being carried out : flowmeters,
infrared spectrometry.
With manufacturing capabilities in sites worldwide (France, USA, Singapore and Russia), we can offer a mix of
geographical content to suit global markets. We are compliant to ISO 9001:2000 and produce sensors AS9100A
certification, as well as to other world-class military and civilian standards. Our Product Support structure
caters to operators and airlines on all continents, where we provide AOG services. Our organization is approved by
FAA/JAA authorities and can meet all customers' standard repair requirements.

Active Sensors manufacture LVDT sensors to quality standards required for aircraft and high performance military
control systems. Our selection of advanced materials and our superior manufacturing techniques ensure superior
sensor stability, accuracy and repeatability in the most hostile of environments.
Our precision layer winding techniques, which have been developed over many years of manufacture are standard
practice in all our LVDT designs. These winding techniques provide the necessary environmental protection required
to avoid dielectric breakdown and to produce electrical output stability under vibration, acceleration, mechanical
and thermal shock.
Active Sensors LVDT sensor designs are robust in construction, consisting of TIG welded sealed housings and
fully encapsulated internal electrical connections. We have developed our sensor technology by the selection of the
highest-grade materials, coupled with the most rigorous environmental testing.
Our position as industry leaders in sensor design and manufacture provides engineering solutions for flight
control and engine systems, missile applications and high performance military control systems. We deliver cost
competitive sensors with unmatched performance.

These RVDT's (Rotary Variable Differential Transformers) have the same high reliability features as the LVDT
except additionally are angular position sensors. They are used in many applications including flight data
acquisition and servo control.

The CPL series of high temperature conductive plastic linear potentiometers have been designed to perform in the
most severe of environmental conditions. The CPL sensor provides precision measurement, reliability and quality.
The multi-fingered precious metal electrical contacts, combined with Active Sensors unique hardwearing 'thick
track' technology provide unparalleled levels of reliability coupled with long operational life. The CPL range is
manufactured utilizing stainless steel and aluminium for sensor durability, providing excellent vibration and shock
performance.
Supplied in two body sizes 9.5mm and 13mm, the sensor has various measurement lengths up to 75mm (3"), and can
be supplied to a customised specification to suit application requirements i.e. environmental sealing, shaft
configuration and twin outputs on a common shaft.
