Component Repair and Overhaul Manchester

AVCO is a commercial Aircraft Component Repair Station based at Manchester International Airport in the United Kingdom with a history of over 15 years experience in Aviation Repairs and boasts a wide range of approved certification capabilities such as EASA approvals (European Aviation Safety Agency), CAA (Civil Aviation Authority), FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and TCCA (Transport Canada Civil Aviation) approvals to certify inspections, repairs, modifications and overhauls including implementation of service bulletins, SIL’s (Service information Letters) etc with Form 1, 8130-3, 24-0078, Certificate of Conformity or our impending ISO9001 certificates.

AVCO’s Part 145 current Class Ratings boasts C3 ( Comms and Nav), C5 (Electrical Power), C6 (Equipment), C19 (Windows) and C20 (Structural) in addition to our FAR Class Rating of Limited Airframe and Limited Accessories which is expanded in our Capability Listings.

Our Part 21 sub-part G approvals enables AVCO manufacturing capabilities which operate a class rating of C2 Parts and electrical components.

AVCO’s Capability List is increasing daily and covers a wide range of Aircraft Parts used within the Aircraft Cabin or Aircraft Cargo Compartments generally covering Airbus and Boeing Models such as A319, A320, A321 (A320 Family), B737, B757 and the B767 interior component repairs. Future developments include training on B787 and A380.

Typical examples of Components repaired include Aircraft Passenger seats from Economy Class Seats (Pax Seats), top of the range Aircraft Business Class Seats and Luxury First Class Seats. Original Engineering Manufactures (OEM’s) include Sicma Aero Seats, B/E Aerospace, Weber, Airline Interiors, Avio, Recaro, Contour, Koito and many more with Sogerma and IPECO Pilot and Co-Pilot Seats (Flight Deck Seats) also high on the list.

Galleys are regularly overhauled by AVCO and also repaired in-situ at locations all over the UK and Europe in Hangars and also ‘on-the-line’. With vast experience with manufacturers such as Aim (Henshalls), C&D Aerospace, SELL, Driessen, Bucher and many more, AVCO can cover minor or major repairs and also any modifications.

To complete the Galley Overhaul services, AVCO can also offer defect rectification management of Catering Equipment which include Atlas and KSSU Trolley Carts and also Containers, not to mention Ben Makers, Coffee Makers, Hot Water Boilers and even Ovens. Again with direct links to OEM’s like Driessen, Iacobucci and Rumbold etc, AVCO are well capable of meeting customer’s demands.

Airbus Cargo Floor Panels and Airbus Cargo Liner Panels (Sidewall, Ceiling and Decompression Panels) are also high up on the list of components repaired and supplied at AVCO at a much cheaper cost than going back to OEM List Price, not to mention supplied quicker! AOG repairs can be actioned and carried out with minimum notice and with large stock levels of raw material and ready made replacements AVCO can cover all your needs to any Airbus requirements.

A large Composite, temperature and dust controlled Workshop is also based at the AVCO facility. Fibreglass and Carbon Fibre repairs are covered with Prepreg materials and wet-lay-up cloths in addition to our Hot Bonding machine up to 350c controlled vacuum.

With this vast range of expertise and Boeing approved engineers within the composite department, AVCO can repair Aircraft Radomes (Nose Cones), Leading Edges, Flight Controls, Engine Cowls, Landing Gear Doors or anything made out of a composite material.

In Flight Entertainment is also a huge success due to our state of the art Avionics Bay. With testing equipment from major IFE suppliers such as Panasonic, AVCO boasts repairs to hundreds of part numbers covering Electrical Harnesses (Cables), Seat Electronic Boxes SEBs, Digital Passenger Control Units DCPUs, and much more. With large quantities of spares available AVCO can return IFE serviceable within days of receipt.

Included in the Avionics Bay, Aircraft Main and Emergency Batteries can be serviced, including cap checks and overhauls to battery models such as SAFT and Marathon. With our own battery shop situated on the facility at Manchester, AVCO is a popular choice with all Airlines operating from Manchester.

The AVCO workshop is a state of the art Spray Booth which enables AVCO to apply any specialist coatings from Anti Static Paints to Teflon Coatings in addition to general aircraft paint coatings.

With a large team of specialist painters, AVCO also supply onsite repair teams that cover the whole of the UK including Major Airports like Liverpool John Lennon, Stansted, Heathrow, Luton, East Midlands, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and many more.
